newest video montage...

Sorry, I had to split this into two videos because YouTube won't accept movies over 10 minutes (this was 11 minutes!).

This is a collection of photos and video clips of several area farmers who stepped into help the Short and Nofziger family in their time of need. They took off all the crops in one day. It was truly amazing.

Oh Jingle Bells!

Wow. It's been way too long since I've posted. I confess - I'm a pathetic blogger.

It's almost midnight so this will be quick... not to worry, I'll add more photos soon.

Here is a video of Wyatt singing Christmas Carols in the Shower.... and then I broke in on his groove and I got scolded for it. TOO FUNNY!

Softball & Dirt

I had a Softball tournament on Saturday Aug. 2nd. Wyatt was suppose to come with me, but since he hadn't napped he came later with Mi-mi and Pa-pa Rychener. He really enjoys coming to the games. He plays with the bats, softballs and eats lots of popcorn. And of course he cheers for his FAVORITE PLAYER by standing at the fence and shouting "Go Mom!", raising both fists in the air (I just love my fan club!).

Between games he managed to find a pile of dirt, and boy did he enjoy it. Within minutes of attacking the small mound of dusty gravel his face, hair, arms, legs, clothing and any other crack or crevace the stuff could settle into was coated a nice shade of dusty white!

Here, see for yourself!

Oh, and incase you were wondering...
our team (KP Percision) won the tourney! :)

Wyatt at the Lake

Sunday, June 29th we headed to Camden, Michigan to Little Long Lake for our annual Sunday School get together. We had a great time! Rollie led services in the barn behind their cottage and we followed the lesson with a fantastic lunch. The weather wasn't the most cooperative at first and we thought the rain would never quit, but once it lifted the sun was shining and we all got to enjoy some lake time.

Wyatt went on a boat ride, which he enjoyed but he detested wearing his life vest. He kept pulling on it and telling me "da done" (All done). I got some shots of him splashing around in the lake, and really enjoying himself!

Here's my little guy playing with a "tick" (stick) that he found. Can you tell he hangs out with Grandma Marilyn. She's got him picking up sticks and "durt" (dirt) already! HA HA!

My little Man

I had to post this photo of Wyatt (and his new haircut) by my Irises. He looks like a little man stuck in a toddler's body! Just check out the look on his face - I wonder what he's thinking about? Apparently it was the tantrum he was going to throw from 7:00 to 7:30 later that evening when I brought him in from outdoors. I should have taken a picture of it! He was MAD and let Adam and I know it. I wasn't aware he was capable of throwing such a fit. He even screamed while he was in the bathtub! I think he was just overly tired because by the time he was in his PJs he was almost asleep.

Memorial Day Weekend

Yes yes I know it's been a while since I've posted.

We had a GREAT memorial day weekend. The weather was beautiful, the food was great and I actually got some stuff done!

After making a trip to Lowe's Saturday morning, Wyatt and I spent most of the day outside playing and working on my little shade/hosta garden. I had transplated most of them last year, but they just didn't tollerate the move well and I lost all of them except for 1. Well two actually, the 2nd one that I planted up by my back door came up... but it's only 1 leaf!

Here are some photos of the final project, and of course - WYATT!

Wyatt was such the helper during this project! We dug up sod, filled in the area with topsoil (it tends to flood down there so we needed to get the plants up and out of the water) laid out all of the pavers, and topped it all off with RUBBER mulch. Yup, Rubber. You can't tell that its not wood until you pick it up or walk on it. It's so light and springy!

Wyatt vs. The Chair

With walking comes accidents... and Wyatt has now faced (literally) his first walking casualty. Superbowl Sunday we were at Mom and Dad's knotting blankets. Wyatt had walked out into the kitchen and realized Adam had left (he couldn't find him) so he threw a fit. Being the newbie walker he is, he lost balance and crashed face first into a small wooden chair. He hit his eye on the corner of the chair and popped it open - which I think kept him from getting a REALLY black eye.

So here is a photo of his injury.

The final score... Chair 1, Wyatt 0.

One small step for baby, one giant change for mom!

Wyatt has been standing, occasionally, on his own since about 10 months. On his birthday he took his first steps without Adam or My help. Since then his confidence has began to grow little by little. He's gone from crawling to walking on his knees and has really started to transition into a TODDLER. His newest past time is practicing his walking skills between me and the couch. I was lucky enough to take some burst photos of him in action. I just LOVE how he lounges on the couch before he takes off. He looks like a little model standing there, ready for his close-up!
